Expungement Many times when you apply for a job you are asked if you have ever been convicted of a crime. If you have had a felony conviction expunged, you can legally answer "no" to this question. Expungement is a procedure whereby you can ask the court to basically expunge or delete your criminal conviction. You are only eligible to do this if you: Have completed all your sentencing obligations to the court; The appropriate time limit has expired; and The crime you were convicted of is one the law permits you to expunge.
